I love driving.
And since JC Chasez the Second* has come into my life, I love driving even more (despite the fact that his rear speakers do not work, a problem which will be remedied upon the next payday).
As banking has proven to be a bit more stressful than I'd like (see previous posts), I have begun taking advantage of my lunch breaks and using them as early afternoon drive time. I take this fabulous route north on the East Beltline. Once you get passed the 196 on ramp its not so bad. I head north towards four mile road where there is substantially less traffic. I turn left by Robinette's Applehaus and Giftbarn and I drive along the apple orchards. The first time I did this, I got lost somewhere around Knapp.
I open my windows, turn on some Ingrid Michaelson, and soon the bank is the last thing on my mind. Its glorious. I'm telling you.
Our breakroom is a tiny 10 x 6 windowless room. It is dreary and crowded, thanks to the fridge, table, two chairs, two water coolers, and TV. While I enjoy the every-so-often viewing of old episodes of 24 and the Office, I love my daily escapes.
